Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding the piano in her attic then becoming enthralled by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music not to get work or for a passion, but as an opportunity to grow. In order to do so, she began writing new compositions. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's advice that she ought not to aim at achieving fame through their songwriting skills, she instead recognize the significance of their lives and the impact they have on society. At age 6 She began playing the piano and at nine was writing music. They didn't even have any idea until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. The songs she creates are the way that she feels any thing.
